The popular Cuban singer and songwriter David Blanco celebrates this Tuesday the 20th anniversary of his band with the world premiere of the single that gives its name to his new record production, Feudalismo Moderno.

The musician said that when quarantine began more than a year ago, the album was already assembled, but given the impossibility of normal times, he locked himself in the studio and restructured many things.

Feudalismo Moderno –the song– will be able to be played and downloaded from the artist's YouTube channel, since, as an anniversary gift, all his followers will have access to a lyric video of a theme that delves into how technology is monopolizing too much of human life.

It will be an album with a rock sound, that recalls the concept of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones. All of that with a purely Cuban, Havana language. It's that timbre that recalls a bit the 60s, but mixed and mastered in a very modern way, he highlighted.

The renowned performer of La Evolución and Parar el Tiempo, David Blanco, also confessed that the conceptualization and realization of the new phonogram constituted a moment of personal growth.

I looked for the positive side of something that is quite negative. When one has the nature of moving forward, you try to even draw out the good side from bad things, in a manner of speaking. For example, I set out to study other instruments, he declared.

Long weeks without leaving even the sidewalk in front of his house led David to throw himself fully even into recording tracks with those very specific learnings on drums and bass; although in the final stretch, the band members did their parts.

The album Feudalismo Moderno will come out this year –preferably for summer–, although, he advanced, some singles will see the light little by little, including the official music video for the song itself, always under the Bis Music label, the record company that represents the artist in national territory.

As if that weren't enough, the impact of the continued reality format program Backstage, created by David Blanco and his team for YouTube in times of coronavirus, will soon come to television to amplify a project full of naturalness and good music.

In the living room of his house, in his recording studio, or on wheels, Backstage contributed to interacting with renowned exponents of music in a context of profound isolation, but full of creativity and eagerness to create.

Adalberto Álvarez, Pedrito Calvo, Síntesis, Lizt Alfonso, Manolito Simonet, Mayito Rivera, Luna Manzanares, and Kamankola, among others, gathered in those recordings that were a continuation of an initiative inaugurated by David in March 2020 when he did the first live stream for social media upon the arrival of COVID-19.
