Cuban artist CuCu Diamantes premiered this Thursday, April 22, the music video for her song Lie to me (Miénteme), a collaborative project with the renowned Cuban rum brand Havana Club.

Directed by Alberto Rambaudi, the audiovisual illustrates a suggestive son with arrangements by maestro Alain Pérez, which is part of the singer's latest solo album, Pecados de Picasso, under the Unicornio de Producciones Abdala label.

The song comes out with the image of Ron Havana Club, she, as a good Cuban, likes good Cuban rum, which is, furthermore, one of the best in the world.

Lie to me (Miénteme) also had the collaboration of visual artists Liz Capote and José Capaz in art direction, to showcase a baroque world called "CuCuland," totally eclectic, tropical and cosmopolitan, but very Cuban and flavorful. It displays objects of high spiritual value for the interpreter, arranged in a cabinet of curiosities, curated by CuCu and José Capaz, which also includes works by the latter.

Such an apparently senseless and scattered environment is a space where her personal objects converge that, according to the accomplished philanthropist, singer and actress, "seem as if they came to life in her daily life." She added that the song is a hymn to love, in her own way; to those loves that seem difficult, and often are, but that we still enjoy nonetheless.

In contrast, she assures, the video is indeed an allegory to a more ecologically responsible planet; "hence my balloons made from recycled plastic bottles, my moment of reflection on the beach, the use of clothing from local ventures with an eco-friendly vision." It is environmental awareness on a massive level, she maintained, "we need to transform the world to care for our planet Earth.

The planet is calling out to us, but there is not yet an environmental conscience and I think that artists can influence that every time we can. The planet is our home".

The creation, which previews the next album, is also an opportunity to share with people close to her life, in a sui generis party that combines music, art and good rum drunk responsibly. Among the collaborators who make their appearance, the renowned musician Alain Pérez stands out; the admired Olympic champion Ana Fidelia Quirot; the young dancer from the National Ballet of Cuba Kathy Ochoa, and the stylist and influencer Miguel Leyva, among others.

The faces that appear in the video are close to my life, both personally and professionally. That is the special reason they are there, they are part of my world, my CuCuland. It is a mix of generations, professions, colors, energies. It is something I like when I make music videos, bringing energies together, she highlighted. And since Havana Club manifests itself in everything as a connecting thread, the Master of Cuban Rum, Salomé Alemán, becomes a special guest, as she is the first woman to join the select list, in the immense trajectory that is eminently male. The collaboration with this kind of co-protagonist role makes visible the support that the brand has provided to the development of Cuban culture and its different exponents throughout all these years.

Her new record production is already bringing surprises, and there will be more, but as a surprise after all, "I will not reveal anything until each moment.

There is much more to see from Pecados de Picasso, and from those of CuCuland", she concluded. Finally, CuCu Diamantes invited followers of her career and that of her guests to discover her world on her official YouTube channel, as well as on other platforms dedicated to promoting Cuban music.
