Cuban Lázaro Álvarez knocked out Mexican Edgar Espinosa and celebrated for the sixth consecutive occasion in professional boxing as a cornerstone of the Domadores.

Confirmed as the top winner of his franchise in those circuits, the champion of the Central American and Caribbean Boxing Federation defined with authority in the first of the 10 rounds of a fight agreed upon in the 135-pound division.

"Candidate for knockout of the year," noted the specialized page ESPN shortly after the "left-hand punch" to the face with which the triple world champion struck down a man who showed a record of seven wins and four losses.

It was the third outcome of that type signed by Lázaro among professionals, this becoming an enhancement for the accomplished purpose of dedicating his performance to the 87th birthday of the great trainer Alcides Sagarra.

The next member of Domadores de Cuba called to step into the ring is the two-time Olympic champion Roniel Iglesias, on October 6 in Tijuana, facing an opponent still to be defined.
