Cuban urban music artist Oniel "Bebeshito" has received his first nomination for the Premios Juventud awards, one of the most prominent Spanish-language entertainment honors in the United States. He is nominated in the "Nueva Generación" (New Generation) category, alongside international acts such as Amaia, Judeline and Juan Duque.
The nomination was announced on July 31, 2026, while the artist was on personal vacation. According to reports, his social media announcement drew more than 25,000 likes and over 1,100 comments within 24 hours, reflecting the reach he has built as one of the leading voices of reparto, the fast-growing urban genre born in Cuba's neighborhoods.
Bebeshito's rise has been marked by several milestones over the past year. In August 2025, he sold out Miami's Kaseya Center with an audience of roughly 20,000. Billboard included him on its 2026 list of Latin artists to watch, and in March 2026 the RIAA awarded him 24 gold and platinum certifications for his catalog.
Premios Juventud 2026 will be held on September 3 at the Starlite Amphitheater in Marbella, Spain, marking the first time the ceremony takes place outside the Americas.
