Cuban actor and comedian Luis Silva, widely known for his character Pánfilo on the television program "Vivir del Cuento," marked 24 years of marriage to his wife, Yary Martínez, on August 20, 2026, sharing a Facebook post with photographs from the couple's recent travels.
In the post, Silva wrote: "Twenty-four years ago, on a day like today, we celebrated the wedding that gave rise to this family." The images showed the couple at several international destinations, including seaside settings, the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy, and the Alcázar of Segovia in Spain.
Silva and Martínez married on August 19, 2002, in the Havana municipality of El Cotorro and have two children, Luis Daniel and Pilar. This marks the third time the actor has publicly celebrated the anniversary on social media, following similar posts in 2022 and 2024.
Born October 9, 1978, in Havana, Silva built his career in Cuban radio and television before starring, from 2008 to 2024, in the comedy program "Vivir del Cuento" on Cubavisión, where his character Pánfilo became one of the most popular figures in contemporary Cuban comedy. In late 2024, the actor relocated to South Florida, where he remains active on social media.
