Cuban actress and comedian Heydy González, remembered for playing the witty nurse "Hidroelia" on the comedy show "Punto G," announced on social media on August 29, 2026, that she had purchased her first home in Miami. "Today we took one of the most important steps of our life in this country: we bought our little house," the actress wrote, calling the achievement "another dream fulfilled."

González arrived in the United States in February 2022 with her partner, Cuban singer Eddy Borges, who now works as a real estate agent and with whom she has been in a relationship since 2017. Her daughter Galilea joined her in Miami in August of that same year, after a period of family separation. In January 2024, mother and daughter obtained permanent residency in the United States.

In her post, the actress noted that the new home will have a space set aside for her daughter, whom she affectionately calls "Galy," and framed the purchase as the result of years of work and sacrifice since leaving Cuba. The news drew numerous congratulations from colleagues and followers on social media.

González's milestone adds to a series of similar announcements from Miami-based Cuban entertainers who in recent months have shared on social media the purchase of their first home as a symbol of stability after the immigration process.
