Claudia Valdés will bring her book My Daughter is an Astronaut to the theater in April

Cuban actress and writer Claudia Valdés surprised and delighted her followers by announcing that her first book, My Daughter is an Astronaut, will make the leap to the stage next April.

"I decided to bring my book MY DAUGHTER IS AN ASTRONAUT to the stage. Of course I will start at @teatrotrail. I can barely write from the emotion. I hope that my story, this time told in front of you, serves as a hug for everyone who needs it," Valdés expressed in an emotional message on social media.

The book, with which she made her debut as a writer, is dedicated to her daughter Lucía and addresses from a personal and sensitive perspective the experience of motherhood in the face of autism. Through its pages, Valdés shares lessons, research and experiences that have inspired thousands of readers.

In the prologue, actor and Lucía's father, Alexis Valdés, highlights the author's dedication: "The work that Claudia has done for Lucía is moving and exemplary".

The theatrical adaptation will be an intimate and direct monologue from the heart, according to what Claudia herself announced. Tickets are already on sale and, in just a few hours, numerous seats have been sold, reflecting public expectations.

"It's in April, I just announced it and look how many chairs are already reserved... Wow, thank you so much!", she shared emotionally in her stories.
