The film "AM-PM", the most recent work by Cuban filmmaker Alejandro Gil, will have its premiere on July 6th at the Charles Chaplin cinema in Havana, as the director announced this Monday.
The cast of the film includes renowned actors such as Blanca Rosa Blanco, Eman Xor Oña, Jorge Martínez, Verónica Lyn, Yaremis Pérez, Clarita García and Armando Miguel Gómez, among others.
In this regard, Gil emphasized that AM-PM is the last film of Cuban cinema in which the talented and admired Enrique Molina acted, who passed away in 2021. The filmmaker detailed that the story revolves around five dramatic axes that intertwine throughout the same day, hence the name of the film.
These encounters of experiences and vivencias create in the protagonists a shift in the way they had been living their lives until then.
Gil noted that this fictional film was shot during the height of the pandemic, complying with all safety protocols, and despite the arduous work, the result is satisfactory and he hopes for a good reception from the public.
The screenplay for the film is by Amílcar Salatti with collaboration by Senel Paz, the music by Magda Rosa Galván and Juan Antonio Leyva, cinematography by Ángel Alderete and the production by Audiovisuales Icaic.
