This September eighth, faithful Cubans celebrated the day of the Charity of Copper, the Patroness of Cuba.

The formidable Cuban pianist Chucho Valdés, distinguished for discoursing in the broadest musical styles from traditional danzón to jazz improvisations, has published an image of himself on his Facebook profile in homage to the Virgin of the Charity of Copper.

This September eighth, faithful Cubans celebrated the day of the Patroness of Cuba and Chucho did not lag behind. In the image he can be seen dressed in yellow with jewelry of marked religious content.

The post was accompanied by a comment from him: "Day of the Charity of Copper, Patroness of Cuba, health for all my family and for all of you. The yellow color represents her".

A good number of reactions has provoked the post, with displays of affection toward the maestro standing out and thanking the virgin for having an artist of recognized international quality born on the island.

"Blessings our patroness of Cuba the one who cares for all Cubans wherever we are greetings maestro" or "She will always be covering you under her blessed mantle blessings for you and all the Cuban people" were some of the comments on the social network.

Other Cuban artists like Willy Chirino also celebrated the virgin, although in his case he asked the Patroness of Cuba for the freedom of the island.
