The Latin Academy of the Arts and Sciences of Production has just released the official list of nominees for the twentieth edition of the Latin Grammy Awards, to be held on November 14th at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas.

In the Best Traditional Tropical Album category are nominees Yelsy Heredia and Aymée Nuviola: the former for his studio work "Lo Nuestro", produced under the Bis Music label; and the latter for "A Journey Through Cuban Music", from the Top Stop Music record label.

The album "Saxofones Live Sessions" by Cuban Sax Quintet, produced by Egrem, also managed to secure a nomination in the Best Instrumental Album category. With this recording, the occasional union of five of the greatest saxophone masters in the country managed to win a Cubadisco Grand Prize, and three more awards in the Instrumental Music, Making Of, and Sound Design categories, at the International Cuban Music Fair Cubadisco 2019.

Chucho Valdés is another artist who could not be absent from this Latin Grammy edition. After a very active year on the music scene, the Cuban pianist and composer is nominated in the Best Latin Jazz/Jazz Album category for his album "Jazz Batá 2", produced by the Mack Avenue Music Group record label.

Finally, in the Best Classical Music Album category is the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba, under the direction of Enrique Pérez Mesa, for their studio work "Cuba: The Legacy". The album was released under the Rycy Productions, Inc. label, with Yalil Guerra as producer.

The favorites for this Latin Grammy edition are the Spanish artists Rosalía and Alejandro Sanz, who with their respective albums "El Mal Querer" and "#ElDisco", in addition to the songs they have released this year, have managed to be present in several categories. Behind them are the Dominican Juan Luis Guerra (with his band 4.40), the Argentine Andrés Calamaro, the Colombian Fonseca, and the Peruvian Tony Succar.
