Cuban singer Chanel Terrero appeared this Monday on the first program of season 17 of El Hormiguero, the highest-rated program on Spanish television, reported the newspaper La Vanguardia.

The artist who achieved the best performance in almost 30 years for that country at Eurovision (third place), was the first guest of host Pablo Motos after the summer break, and did so as a full-fledged international star.

Soon you will be able to hear her singing "La estrella azul", the Spanish version of "Wish Upon a Star", the main theme of the Pinocchio remake that will premiere today on Disney+.

Chanel's visit to El Hormiguero began with the presentation of the double platinum record after selling 80,000 copies of her song "SloMo", with which she has conquered all of Europe. Later she began a conversation with Pablo Motos in which they reflected on the sudden fame that has come to her in less than a year.

In her previous visit to this program, Chanel spoke about the harsh criticism and pressure she suffered after her victory at Benidorm Fest. Arriving without being the favorite caused her to be in the crosshairs of followers of other candidates to represent Spain at Eurovision, but the final result proved to be a great success by both the public and the jury.

About her new album, the Cuban confessed: "I've been working since before Eurovision, but I'm doing it slowly, like my grandmothers' stews".

Regarding her earnings at Eurovision, the singer confirmed that she won absolutely nothing.

Last June the artist made waves in Los Angeles when she danced "SloMo" on a popular avenue in that city. A month later, the Cuban was in charge of giving the opening speech for Madrid Pride 2022, the starting point for Spain's most international celebrations.
