The race towards victory at the Eurovision Festival has begun for Chanel. It is very important to have visibility in Europe during the weeks leading up to the competition's grand finale. In that sense, the chosen artists usually go on a tour of different corners of the continent to promote their candidacy. In Chanel's case, she has started her tour with a performance at the popular Festival da Canção in Portugal.
There was anticipation to see Chanel back on stage again to sing SloMo. She did it last Monday at the Portuguese pre-selection with a performance very similar to what we saw at Benidorm Fest. Small changes were noticed in the production of the song, although what stood out the most is her change of wardrobe, very different from those designed by Carmen Farala.
For the rest, the artist once again demonstrated that she has a strong and very competitive candidacy for the 66th edition of the Song Festival. There was plenty of dancing down to the floor and all the charisma in the world in the show. Chanel won over the Portuguese audience and warned that she is going to Turin with every intention of winning.
Chanel continues to work intensively on her candidacy for Eurovision 2022. Last weekend, the Spanish representative took another step and recorded the SloMo music video, her calling card for viewers across Europe. It is a production directed by Catalan artist Pawla Casanovas which, as TVE stated, "will show a Chanel that is more of a pop diva than ever".
In addition, the public broadcaster revealed that during the three minutes the video lasts, Chanel's followers will enjoy "dancing, partying and striking lighting". These will be the key elements with which the singer will invite everyone who watches it "to join her 'slow motion' that surprised so much in Chanel's performance in the final of Benidorm Fest". ©copyright los40.com
