The Cuban composer, guitarist and singer Eliades Ochoa will perform at the Iberoamerican Film Festival in Huelva, Spain, scheduled from this Friday until the 22nd, an event in which a documentary about the renowned interpreter of traditional music from our country is competing.
"Eliades Ochoa from Cuba and for the world," is the title of the audiovisual by American filmmaker Cynthia Biestek, which shows details of his life and work, distinguished by genres such as guajira, guaracha, bolero and son.
Grisel Sande, representative of the singer-songwriter, said that the documentary was made in the Cuban province of Santiago de Cuba and features images of the place where he was born, as well as statements from his sister María about his work in the countryside.
She pointed out that the material that brings prestige to Cuban culture has been seen in cities in the United States, Germany, Italy, Chile, and in the summer of this year it was screened in Madrid.
