Camila Cabello, Lenier Mesa and Ovi, the duos Gente de Zona and Ibeyi, and actress Livia Brito nominated for the Premios Juventud

Several Cuban artists were nominated for the 19th edition of the Premios Juventud, which will be held in Puerto Rico for the first time on July 21st. The awards ceremony will be broadcast live by Univision from the Coliseo José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan.

Among such stars as Karol G and J Balvin, several Cuban artists will also shine with at least eight nominations. Singers Camila Cabello, Lenier Mesa and Ovi, the duos Gente de Zona and Ibeyi, and actress Livia Brito are the Cubans chosen on this occasion.

The performer of "Señorita" achieved two nominations, one in OMG Collaboration (best collaboration with an English-language artist), for the song "Oh Na Na" featuring Myke Towers & Tainy. The other in the Girl Power category (best collaboration between two or more female artists), for the song "Hasta los dientes" with María Becerro.

The musical duo Gente de Zona likewise obtained two nominations in the categories Favorite Group or Duo of the Year and Tropical Mix (best tropical collaboration) for "Háblame de Miami," the song they presented with Maffio. "Super happy and honored," the guys said from their profiles.

In the same "Tropical Mix" category, another Cuban representative squeaked in, Lenier Mesa, with the song alongside Farruko "La Bendición". Reggaetonist Ovi was also nominated following his new album in the category The New Generation – Male. The duo of Franco-Cuban sisters Ibeyi also made it in with Residente in "Video Con El Mensaje Más Poderoso," through the song "This Is Not America".

Finally, Cuban-Mexican actress Livia Brito alongside Mexican José Ron was nominated in the "Me enamoran" category as best telenovela couple for the soap opera "La Desalmada". Until the 27th of this month, the public will be able to vote for their favorites through the website PremiosJuventud.com.

The two most nominated international artists were Colombians J Balvin and Karol G. With eleven nominations, they ranked at the top of the Latinos in these awards that will occur for the first time on the Island of Enchantment.
