The entire football world experienced a celebration in the lead-up to the great 2022 Champions League final. UEFA chose singer Camila Cabello to be the protagonist of the show that made Real Madrid and Liverpool fans vibrate at the Stade de France, where the start of the match was delayed due to incidents with fans from both teams at the stadium entrances.
The Cuban-origin singer-songwriter and actress began her show in one of the tunnels that lead to the pitch to the rhythm of "Señorita", the song she made with Shawn Mendes that catapulted her to worldwide fame. Then, accompanied by a group of dancers, she continued her performance with two other major hits like "Bam bam" and "Don't go yet".
Her show made the fans who were able to enter the Stade de France in Paris (France) vibrate, although many others had problems at the entrances. These incidents even caused a delay in the beginning of the show that had Camila Cabello as the main protagonist.
Cabello chose a white dress by Mexican designer Carlos Pineda to sing at the opening ceremony of the most important club competition in European football. "They were looking for a designer who could express Camila's Mexican roots, Latin in general, but with a global vision. I loved the idea and accepted the challenge. The inspiration for the look is Mexico, Oaxaca, papel picado and Mexican crafts. All in a total white look," said Pineda, according to Vogue magazine.
The former member of the musical group Fifth Harmony shared with her followers on social networks how her preparation was during the last few days. Her professional path to this great performance began when at age 15 she asked as a birthday gift to be taken to the audition for "The X Factor", a talent program that gave life to famous bands like One Direction.
Her talent as a solo artist led her to be one of the chosen performers to be part of the female group Fifth Harmony. It didn't take long before she began her solo stage and her album "Familia" was the great confirmation of her artistic abilities, as she was able to have the participation of great artists like Ed Sheeran, María Becerra, and Yotuel.
