Lucio Contreras
Distinguished and renowned Cuban actor of radio, cinema, and television. With a long and fruitful career that reflects the affection, respect, and admiration of his entire people.
He began as an amateur actor. In 1966, Humberto Solás, who had achieved great success with Manuela, was looking for actors to make Lucía (film) and he was selected for the cast. He thus performed an important role: Antonio, from the second story of the film.
On stage he met his cherished colleagues (friends, brothers, companions) Enrique Molina and Enrique Almirante.
He became part of the television cast, although he says he prefers cinema because it opened many doors for him.
Television has presented him in multiple serialized programs, such as Enrique de Lagardere, which brought Blaín to the height of popularity among Cubans as well as programs like Grandes Novelas, Horizontes, etc.
His performances are memorable in:
Tierra Brava and his character of the tyrannical Lucio Contreras.
The jealous husband in Las huérfanas de la Obrapía.
The Ministry of Interior official in the series Móvil Ocho.
