Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Economic Engineer, Full Professor. He has worked as a journalist and diplomat, is a writer, essayist, polyglot and political figure.
Born in Mariel, La Habana province. He began writing in 1946 in the magazine Mella, which he directed during its clandestine period under the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista. He directed a national radio newscast and also obtained a slot on the National Television Newscast.
He has held leadership positions such as Rector of the Ñico López Party Higher School, among whose founders he appears in 1960, serving as a professor in practically all of the school's courses with different topics, and especially those referring to the current state of the international situation, Cuban and international economics, and ideological political work.
He served as subdirector of the newspaper Hoy, of the newspaper Granma and collaborated in La Gaceta de Cuba, Granma, Revista Bohemia, Union of Journalists and Writers of Cuba, Revista Verde Olivo, Cuba Socialista, OCLAE, Union.
He has held diplomatic positions as ambassador of Cuba to Vietnam, representative of the PCC in the International Magazine in Prague and in missions in Africa. He possesses extensive expertise in international affairs and the foreign policy of the Cuban Revolution.
