Luis María Díaz-Pimienta Valdés

Born in Guane, province of Pinar del Río.

Medical student who in 1871 was unjustly tried and sentenced to 4 years in prison for the events that occurred at the tomb of Gonzalo Castañón.

In 1872 he is deported to Spain where he continued his studies until his return to Cuba, completing in 1878 his degree in Medicine and Surgery. He dies in 1892.
