Distinguished painter and professor. Member of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC)
Born in Ciudad de La Habana, today La Habana province, Cuba. Graduated in 1976 from the National Academy of Fine Arts San Alejandro, La Habana, Cuba. Worked at the Cuban Institute of Art and Cinematographic Industry (ICAIC) creating paintings, signs, commercial advertising billboards and scenographic designs for different films.
From 1976 to 1983. Member of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC).
Between 1983 and 1985 he worked as a graphic designer at the Ministry of Basic Industry. From 1985 to 1989 he served as a Professor of design and drawing at the Polytechnic Institute of Industrial Design. He taught painting classes at the Paulita Concepción Elementary School of Arts.
From 1989 to 1991 he worked at the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets as a specialist in environmental design.
He has more than one hundred personal and collective exhibitions. He has illustrated books for children, youth and adults. His murals are found in different provinces of the country. Part of his work is housed in private collections in Spain, France, the United States and Switzerland.
