Villa
Cuban sculptor, member of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC), since 1982 and president of the Association of Plastic Arts since 1993.
He completed his secondary education in 1971 at the National School of Arts (in Havana) and in 1976 began his higher studies at the Academy of Plastic Arts in Prague (Czechoslovakia).
He has been a professor of sculpture at the Higher Institute of Art (ISA) since 1976 and served as Dean of its Faculty of Plastic Arts from 1986 to 1990. His small-format works are found in collections in Cuba, Spain, United States, Germany, Brazil, Canada, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Hungary, Egypt, Russia, France, Costa Rica, Italy, Argentina and Mexico. He has given various lectures in Cuba and abroad.
