Cuban writer, born in La Habana, graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Laws.

He was born in La Habana. He completed his primary education at a free school of the R. R. of Santo Domingo de Guzmán. He later attended the Seminario de San Carlos, where he studied Latin, philosophy, and law. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Laws in 1842. He began practicing his profession, but gradually abandoned his work driven by pressing needs that led him to hire out his pen.

He collaborated in Flores del Siglo, Revista de la Habana, and El Siglo XIX. In the Eco de Villaclara (November, 1842) he published the novel "La venganza de un hijo," in collaboration with Alejandro Angulo, with whom he edited La pucha cubana, a collection of literary works dedicated to women. He is the author of La seca y el huracán, a one-act comedy, performed in 1845. He used the pseudonym Un gastronómico sin dinero.
