A prominent social figure who controlled the cigar factory "La Industria Cienfueguera", which was at that time one of the best businesses in the province.
He was born in Cienfuegos. His parents were Mr. Manuel F. Revuelta and Mrs. Eloísa Buchaca. His paternal grandparents were Mr. Manuel Revuelta and Mrs. Susana González, and his maternal grandparents were Mr. José María Buchaca and Mrs. Rosalía Molina.
He completed his primary studies at the "Santo Tomás" school directed by Mr. Ginés Escanaverino de Linares, later attending the school of the Jesuit Fathers, where he completed his secondary education, having received the title of Bachelor of Arts in 1884. During his time at the "Nuestra Señora de Monserrat" School he was President of the "La Anunciata" association.
He held a position in the commercial house of Mr. Tomás Terry, where he worked from November 21, 1884 until December 31, 1914, when he took on the position of secretarial officer at the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Cienfuegos.
He was Treasurer of the Centro de Artesanos for several years, Treasurer of the "Juan O' Bourke" Hospital after the end of the 1895 war, and later treasurer of the Fernandina Lodge of Jagua of the "Benevolent Masonic Association" of the "Cienfuegos Industrial S.A" Company, of the Lithographic Company, and he held the same position in the Centro de Propietarios Urbanos of Cienfuegos.
He was also administrator of the Tomás Terry Theater from June 1, 1895, on behalf of the Succession of Mr. Tomás Terry.
During the celebration of the Centenary he was a member of the Central Committee of Festivities and a member of the Committee appointed by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation to award prizes to the industrialists who participated in the brilliant exhibition held in this city during those celebrations. The City Council then bestowed upon him, for his excellent services, a gold medal with its corresponding diploma.
By virtue of his industriousness and perseverance, which merited the highest praise, and his honesty recognized by all, the renowned cigar factory "La Industria Cienfueguera" was at that time one of the best businesses in Cienfuegos. He was always a native of Cienfuegos who loved local progress, and his support for this purpose was always shown at the highest level in every moment when his love for the city of his birth was put to the test.
