F. Mond
He began writing in the seventies of the twentieth century, enthusiastic about Oscar Hurtado's prologues to anthologies of fantastic and science fiction themes. His books are nuanced with fine Creole humor that approaches history, film and literature classics through skillful parodies.
His series of novels about the relationships between the planet Korad and Earth in a parallel dimension of space-time began to be published in 1979. Begging the Earthlings' Pardon initiated a hugely popular series that not only overflows with imagination, but also forces one to discover the literary and historical milestones on which the anecdotes of this transfigured universe are based. The clearest examples are the Koradian Chronicles (think of Bradbury's Martian Chronicles), divided into chapters no less burlesque, such as "The Bitch of the Galaxies" (The Wars of the Galaxies, by George Lucas), "The Tribulations of a Young Green" (The Sorrows of Young Werther, by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe), "What a Divine Comedy" (The Divine Comedy, by Dante)
Although he has declared that "science fiction is a way of expressing what we imagine, like all fiction literature. There is nothing special about it," he is one of the science fiction writers who has continued publishing the longest in Cuba. Notable foreign specialists have taken his work as a reference for studies on Cuban authors of this genre.
