Ernesto Mateo Rancaño Vieties

One of the most renowned figures in contemporary Cuban art, member of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and member of the International Association of Plastic Artists (A.I.A.P).



Studied at the National School of Plastic Arts from 1987 to 1991, where he graduated in the specialty of Painting and Drawing. 



Obtained First Prize in the Poster Contest sponsored and called by CETSS, La Habana, Cuba. 



His works are found in permanent collections in Panamá, México, Jamaica and España. He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions and has done installations. Since 1995 he is a member of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC).
