Emilio Alberto Vega de la Nuez

Cuban pianist, percussionist and music producer.

He began his music studies at age 9, studying piano at the "Manuel Saumell" conservatory, then after five years he went on to study symphonic percussion at the "Amadeo Roldan" conservatory, carrying out both careers simultaneously until his graduation from the "Instituto Superior de Artes" in Havana in 1986 as a graduate in symphonic and folkloric percussion.

In his forty years dedicated to enhancing the most authentic sounds of Cuban culture, he has worked with:
National Symphony Orchestra, instrumentalist.
Eastern Symphony Orchestra, timpanist.
Havana Musical Theater Orchestra, as percussionist.

Cubadisco 2019
He has three nominations for the Award from the 23rd Edition of the International Cuban Music Fair Cubadisco 2019, which will take place in Havana from May 18-26.

CD-DVD, the recording Soltando Energía, nominated in the Instrumental Music category; a self-produced title -which comes through the Bis Music Record Label and Music Publisher- constitutes his debut as composer of all the pieces, which were recorded with his sextet "Paso al frente", a lineup that is part of his large orchestra "Estrellas de Areíto".
