Journalist and commentator on international issues for the Cuban Television News System and Radio Rebelde, Bachelor of Political Sciences, Master's degrees in Economic and International Political Relations from the University of La Habana.
Born in Santa Cruz del Norte, Mayabeque on March 25, 1941
Dimas entered journalism in 1968. He was an editor of the publication El Militante Comunista, where he handled the Science and Religion section. He also wrote some essays at that time on José Martí, Maceo, Alfredo López and other fighters for Cuba's independence cause. He worked for several years as an official at the Ministry of Foreign Relations, where he trained as an analyst of international issues.
He joined the Union of Journalists of Cuba in 1971. He won awards and mentions in journalism contests
In 1981 he joined the news programming of Television and, shortly after, in the program Haciendo Radio, on Radio Rebelde.
Dimas, who spoke English perfectly, provided his collaboration to television in programs related to the Summit.
He was in Nicaragua in 1987 as a correspondent for Cuban TV.
As a journalist and commentator he has worked on international issues for the Cuban Television News System and Radio Rebelde

He visited more than 80 countries.
He developed his teaching work as Associate Professor at the Faculty of Journalism and Social Communication of the University of La Habana, gave lectures on international issues in units of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba (FAR) and the Ministry of Interior of Cuba (MININT), the Union of Young Communists of Cuba (UJC), the Office of the Historian of La Habana and other work centers.
