Dayira Mesa Sola

Dayira Mesa Sola is a Cuban amateur boxer from Santiago de Cuba who competes in the women's 70-kilogram division. A relatively recent addition to Cuba's national women's boxing program, she made her amateur debut in February 2025 and quickly rose through the national ranks. In August 2026 she won the gold medal at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, defeating Puerto Rico's Stephanie Piñeiro by split decision in the final — the first gold medal for a Cuban woman boxer in the recent history of the regional competition.
