Dayamí Pérez

Dayamí Pérez is a mezzo-soprano. She is a solo soprano of the National Lyric Theater of Cuba (TLNC) and is fluent in Italian.

She was born in Havana and graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte with a Bachelor's degree in Music, specializing in Choral Singing in 1996.

In 1997 she joined the chorus of the Teatro Nacional de Cuba. She has participated in the casts of the Cuban zarzuelas Cecilia Valdés and María la O, with which she performed in Mexico and Spain, respectively.

She has also performed in the operas Così fan tutte (Dorabella), Madame Butterfly (Suzuki), Cavalleria rusticana (Mamma Lucia) and the roles of Clara/Strawberry Woman/Lily in the production of Porgy and Bess, directed by Octavio Cortázar and presented in Austria and Spain (2000).

Concert with the music of Vincenzo Bellini at the Teatro Nacional de Cuba, she performed the duet Sorgi, o padre, from the opera Bianca e Fernando, alongside soprano Cristina Rodríguez (2013)
In 1997 she received an honorable mention in the National Singing Competition "Iris Burguet".
