Danylo Sirio López

Television Director. Awarded with the National Radio and Television Prize 2021 in Cuba.

He began his professional work in Cuban Television as a Master Control Operator in 1969, a position he held until 1973, when he became Program Director, a role he has maintained to the present day (2021).

During more than 50 years of work, he has simultaneously held different positions, whether as TV Program Director, Director of Sports Broadcasts, and Director of Broadcasts during Fidel Castro's visits (1980-2005). Likewise, he has directed Special Events and First-Level Events that have been held, both nationally and internationally.

In his role as Television Director, he is noted for directing the program 9550, the Adolfo Guzmán Contest, the Combatant People's Marches, Open Forums, the Visits of Pope John Paul II and Francis; the Gala for Peace, broadcasts of the Pan American Games and the Olympics. With great impact on the public, he was in charge of the General Direction of La Colmena TV.

Due to his dedication, effort, and participation in all the tasks assigned to him and given the results he has obtained in his work performance, he has held responsibilities as Director of CHTV Channel, Vice President and President of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (2009-2016), as well as Vice President again, a position he currently holds.
