Antonio Guerrero Rodríguez

He was born on October 16, 1958 in the city of Miami. He graduated as an engineer in Aerodrome Construction from the Technical University of Kiev, former Soviet Union. His most important work was the expansion of the Santiago de Cuba International Airport.

Antonio is a poet. He has written a good number of poems from which a selection has been published in English and Spanish, with the title Desde mi altura. He has two children aged 16 and 11.

He was unjustly sentenced to life imprisonment, plus 10 years.

In many places he is remembered for playing football, for his poems, or for the activities he organized.

While working at Cubana de Aviación, he married a Panamanian citizen and moved to that nation.

There he married the American Margaret Bécquer. He worked at the Boca Chica base.

At present he is imprisoned in a maximum security prison, from where he writes poems and paints.
