Cuban actress Beatriz Valdés will be part of the cast of Telemundo's new series, Juego de mentiras. Valdés revealed that in this production she will take on the role of a very simple woman named Elvira.
"I am very excited to return to Telemundo, the company that brought me to this country nine years ago with the telenovela Santa Diabla," the actress confessed in a video from her arrival on the first day of filming.
The production has already begun shooting and the former star of La bella del Alhambra shared filming moments with Kenyan-Mexican actor Arap Bethke, who plays her son in the telenovela and is one of the main protagonists of the story.
Bethke will play César Ferrer, a man who becomes the main suspect in his wife's disappearance and begins to investigate on his own to prevent his eight-year-old daughter from being taken from him, but in the process discovers that his partner was living a double life.
The role of the little girl will be played by young Mexican actress Camila Núñez, with whom Beatriz Valdés seems to have quite special chemistry, according to images she has shared on her social networks.
The grandmother-granddaughter relationship appears to have transcended the screen, as the girl and Beatriz, whom she calls "abu," have shared a few reels on Instagram and displays of much affection.
Cuban actresses Camila Arteche and Aylín Mujica will also be part of the cast of this dramatic thriller directed by Eduardo Ripari, Ricardo Schwarz, and Uandari Gómez.
A premiere date for Juego de mentiras has not yet been announced.
