Monday, November 2 was a double celebration in Miami for Aymée Nuviola. The Cuban singer known as "La Sonera del Mundo" was one of the 100 women chosen for ¡HOLA! Americas' Latina Powerhouse 2026 list, and she also closed the magazine's gala at the Ziff Ballet Opera House of the Adrienne Arsht Center with a performance of "Chan Chan" that, in the magazine's own account, got the room dancing.

Nuviola was part of The Soundtrack of the Americas, the evening's centerpiece show, backed by the Latina Powerhouse Big Band led by Dr. Colleen Clark. The lineup also included Natalia Jiménez, Camila Fernández, Leslie Grace, Erika Ender and Nella, among others. Hosted by Boris Izaguirre, Andrea Meza and Dayanara Torres, the gala drew about 400 guests under the theme "The Hispanic legacy: inspiring the future of the Americas."

The magazine picked her in the Entertainment category for her album Aymée Nuviola Feat. Kemuel Roig Live at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, recorded in July 2025 at the London club with Cuban pianist Kemuel Roig as guest. According to ¡HOLA!, it is the first album by a Cuban female solo artist recorded on that stage and released internationally as a full record. Nuviola will also appear on the December cover alongside the other honorees.

Born in Havana and trained at the Manuel Saumell Conservatory, Nuviola has won a Grammy (2020, for A Journey Through Cuban Music) and two Latin Grammys. She was first named to the Latina Powerhouse list in 2021.
