Cuban Artists Awarded at the 2021 Latin Grammy Ceremony

As every year, the Latin Recording Academy announced on November 18 which Latin artists were awarded in 2021. This, as a result of the success and excellence achieved through the musical productions they have developed over these months.

Fortunately, in Cuba we have excellent artists who each year bring honor to our country's name, and this year was no exception. Therefore, the Academy of the Latin Grammy once again recognized the talent of several Cuban musicians in 2021.

Definitely, we islanders carry in our blood a particular Caribbean joy that, consequently, we know how to project very well musically. As a result, our artists tend to stand out in productions where our rhythm and flavor shine; just as happened on this occasion.

Once again, several Cuban artists in the Tropical genre were nominated for the 2021 Latin Grammy in various categories. Such is the case of the categories Best Contemporary/Tropical Fusion Album, Best Tropical Song and Best Traditional Tropical Album.

In the category of Best Traditional Tropical Album the award went to Alain Pérez, Issac Delgado and, also, the Orquesta Aragón ("Cha cha chá: Homenaje a lo tradicional")

Definitely, this 2021 the Cubans nominated for the Latin Grammy, among whom are Gloria Estefan, Alex Cuba, Omara Portuondo, have shared their talent with us, and for that they have been awarded this recognition.

The 2021 Grammy Award was given to Cuban pianist Iván Melón Lewis with his cd Voyager in the category of Best Latin Jazz Album

However, undoubtedly, one of the most important categories for this particular year was "Song of the Year".

Undoubtedly, it could not be any other song than "Patria y Vida" performed by several Cuban singers; a song that has crossed all kinds of borders. Consequently, the Academy could not overlook the richness of this song that has caused a sensation in Cuba and throughout Latin America.

Similarly, this production by Yotuel Romero, Descemer Bueno, El Funky, Gente De Zona, Yadam González and Maykel Osorbo received another nomination. Therefore, it additionally won the award in the category of "Best Urban Song".

Currently, this song accumulates 8,525,472 reproductions on YouTube, and also has a large number of likes and supportive comments.

Today we are proud of the musical talent of our people, and we already congratulate them on their fabulous work.
