Aroldis Chapman, Among the Nominees for Relief Pitcher of the Year in MLB

Major League Baseball has announced the nominees for the Reliever of the Year award and one of those selected is Cuban flame-thrower Aroldis Chapman, who had another great season wearing the Yankees uniform and continues to enhance his legacy.

The award, which is named "Hartford Reliever of the Year", has Josh Hader, Kirby Yates, Will Smith, Liam Hendriks, Roberto Osuna and Aroldis Chapman competing.

Chapman threw 57 innings this season, with 85 strikeouts, 25 walks, and 38 hits allowed, with excellent averages, of earned run average (2.21) and WHIP (1.11).

His 37 saves finished one short of the American League leader (Osuna himself).

This 2019 Aroldis reached 800 strikeouts and 250 saves in his career.
