"Worm and Proud" is the title of the episode of this Pronyr TV production in which both actors participate.

Armando Tomey and María Teresa Pina are back on the small screen, this time from the City of the Sun, with two outstanding performances for the recently premiered series Crime in Miami.

The new Pronyr TV production shows the dark side of a city where betrayal, greed, and envy can lead some to commit the most atrocious crimes, from robberies to murders.

Both actors play a married couple who face the decision of helping their son financially to start a business in Cuba that at first glance seems very lucrative, but depends on the "help" of a high-ranking official of the dictatorship on the island, a retired general from MININT.

With a performance worthy of praise, Tomey plays a Cuban father, anticommunist to the core, who driven by the distrust this business gives him, seeks to impose respect on his son by bringing out his most dominant and violent side.

María Teresa, for her part, plays the typical mediating mother who tries to convince her husband to help her son in his endeavor, but ends up understanding her husband's radical stance. When the story takes an important turn in one of the scenes with a strong emotional charge, the actress gives a masterclass in acting.

Beyond the story of this episode "Worm and Proud," both characters are a portrait of what many Cubans went through in their country before reaching exile.

In addition to Tomey and María Teresa, the first episode of the thriller also features Alejandro Milian, Lily Bergues, and Raúl Oropesa, all under the direction of Mauricio Casín and the general production of Orlando Fundichely.

The series, written by Erick Hernández, is designed with episodes featuring different stories that are not interconnected with each other. This is the first drama launched by the Pronyr TV platform, as until now comedies have dominated such as Welcome to la yuma, Deleted, No Así No, and Los Escachaos.

Each week the time to watch a new episode of Crime in Miami will be Fridays at 10:00 p.m., so don't forget to download the Pronyr TV app and stay on top of each premiere.
