Armando Ferrer will be the director of the Cuban team that will go to the Preolympic Tournament of the Americas

The Cuban Baseball Federation announced today Armando Ferrer as director of the team that will participate in the Pre-Olympic tournament of the Americas, based in the United States, publishes the digital portal Jit.

Ferrer has excellent results in the last two local campaigns with the Matanzas team, in one of these with a national title, and possesses vast experience in directing work in various categories.

The chosen manager will be accompanied by Carlos Martí, Ricardo Eizmendiz, José Hernández, Alexander Ramos, Raciel Sánchez and Jesús Salgado.

In the case of Martí, he is the current champion of Cuba with the Granma team, and has accumulated three titles in the last five years.

With its headquarters established at the Victoria de Girón stadium in Matanzas, the island's pre-selection is preparing alongside the team of that nation that will participate in the Caribbean Series, to be held from May 8 to 15 in Willemstad, capital of Curaçao.
