"Kicking the Can USA" Premiere Announced, Directed by Delso Aquino on UniVista TV

Cuban presenter José Carlos Pérez Córdoba, popularly known as Carlucho, announced the re-edition in Miami of the beloved humorous television program from Cuban television "Kicking the Can," which was very popular on the island during the years it was on air, from 1995 to 2001.

Carlucho made the announcement last Monday during a welcome for actress Gelliset Valdés, who has just been signed for his show on UniVista TV.

The comedian explained that the new project will be directed by Delso Aquino, Gelliset's husband, who was the creator and producer of "Kicking the Can" in Cuba, and who until very recently was also in charge of the humorous show "Tell That to Someone Else," which currently airs on Sunday afternoons on the Cubavisión channel.

"The only opportunity life gives me is to put all the tools in his hands to tell him: 'Master, welcome to this country,'" he stated.

Carlucho emphasized that Aquino, who has more than 35 years of experience in television, will contribute greatly to his initiative, and announced that he will soon interview him on his program.

"We are going to launch one of the most successful programs Cuba had, which was 'Kicking the Can,' which Mr. Aquino directed. We are going to make it 'Kicking the Can USA,' and we are going to do it with a lot of talent. If you have the desire to move forward, well there's our number," he said.

Gelliset Valdés and Aquino arrived in the United States on December 6th, according to what the actress stated.

The also screenwriter had a pleasant reunion on UniVista TV with Nelson Gudín, the well-known "Cool Guy of Life," in which they performed two of their characters: Urbinito and Tonita.

Both comedians were romantic partners in Cuba and have a 15-year-old son together.
