A major concert by Cuban singer Tony Ávila and his band will take place on August 10th at the National Museum of Fine Arts in this capital, as the artist announces today on social media.
The event will be held in the institution's theater hall at 19:00, local time, and will feature several guests in a night of tribute to Cuban trova and celebration of the band's 14th anniversary.
Ávila is promoting this summer in his presentations the songs from his most recent recording production titled Universos, the fourth under the Bismusic label.
The recording is a turning point in the work of the troubadour, a reflection of his maturity as a composer and performer.
It displays on this album a great variety of musical genres as well as themes latent in Cuban society of the 21st century.
It includes guaguancó, changüí, son, bossa nova, guaracha, kisomba and a nod to classical music, through the strings.
