Ana de Armas's meteoric rise to stardom could continue with the highly anticipated 'John Wick' spin-off, titled 'Ballerina'.

After becoming a Bond girl in 'No Time to Die', the actress could continue exploring her skills in action cinema and thriller, this time with one of the most successful and lethal franchises of the moment.

The film, directed by Len Wiseman ('Underworld') and written by Shay Hatten ('John Wick 3: Parabellum', 'Army of the Dead'), will tell the story of a young assassin seeking revenge against those who killed not her dog, but her entire family.

The underworld of assassin ballerinas in 'John Wick' appeared briefly in the third installment of the saga starring Keanu Reeves, planting the seed for this new project that is already underway under the supervision of producers Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee and Chad Stahelski (the director of the main 'John Wick' films).

It is unknown whether Reeves will make any kind of appearance in the film (he is already busy with the fourth installment of the saga, 'John Wick 4', which will premiere next spring), but there is a greater likelihood that Anjelica Huston will return, whom we saw as matriarch of the ballerinas in 'John Wick 3'.

If this role is confirmed, Ana de Armas confirms her good streak in Hollywood. Her performance in Rian Johnson's 'Knives Out' received numerous accolades, and her transformation into Marilyn Monroe for the upcoming 'Blonde' by Andrew Dominik is among the most anticipated films of 2022. Additionally, she will also soon premiere on Netflix the ambitious action film 'The Gray Man', directed by the Russo brothers ('Avengers: Endgame').
