Ana De Armas is on the new cover of Vanity Fair United States. In the interview conducted, she has been shown to be quite natural.

She has explained her entire professional trajectory, which ranges from her debut in Spain playing Carolina in 'The Boarding School', to managing to be among the most acclaimed actresses in Hollywood at the moment, and the thing is, when her role in the Spanish series ended, she moved to the United States in search of inspiration.

What she didn't know is that years later she would come close to becoming one of the greats of Hollywood. Everyone asks her how she decided to make the decision to leave, to which she answers in the interview: "There was never more than one decision at a time. I have never seen my life separated by two paths, the one I wanted and plan B. There was only ever the path I wanted."

Years ago, De Armas spent seven hours a day learning English, now the actress is one step away from having it all. She has appeared in films such as 'Blade Runner 2049', 'Yesterday', 'The Informer' or 'Knives Out', thanks to which she was nominated for her first Golden Globe. "People ask 'How did you learn to speak English so fast?' I thought... 'Because my life depended on it'".

The actress was most transparent throughout the entire interview, "Hollywood is not my life, it is my reality. I have great friends here and very good things have happened to me, but the lifestyle, the exposure and the constant commercial situations are not for me. (...) Acting is what I love to do, but I can't be talking about it constantly. To quote Marilyn Monroe, 'It's okay to eat caviar, but not when you eat it at every meal'".

As of today, when her career is growing more than ever, she is immersed in several projects such as 'Deep Water', the 2020 film that she will star in alongside Ben Affleck, 'No Time to Die', the new James Bond film in which she reinvents the concept of "Bond girl", or 'Blonde', which she will star in playing Marilyn Monroe. "I only had to audition for Marilyn once and Andrew [the director] said, 'It's you'."

One of the actresses with whom De Armas maintains a great relationship is Jamie Lee Curtis, with whom she shared the screen in 'Knives Out'. At that time, Curtis didn't know who she was and, in fact, thought that "she was a lump of clay waiting to be molded", now she thinks the complete opposite, "She is remarkable. She is going to be like Sophia Loren, one of those rare sensations that crosses the entire world. She has that exquisite depth and is singularly kind and incredibly beautiful, but she's also a girl from Cuba, so she has that tenacity, perseverance and ferocity".
