Cuban musician Alfredito Rodríguez, who celebrated his 72nd birthday on November 29th, announced on Wednesday that he will perform his last concert of the year in Miami to "celebrate Christmas" and welcome 2023 with good vibes.

"Last concert of this year. Join me in giving thanks for what we have lived and for what, God willing, we will live. Come celebrate Christmas and make wishes for a 2023 full of health and success," wrote the interpreter of "Sagitario" on Facebook.

The concert will take place on the evening of Saturday, December 17th at the Polynesio restaurant and bar in Hialeah Gardens, in Miami-Dade County. "I expect you on Saturday, December 17th, and besides, a very significant date for many," he added.

In this way, Alfredito Rodríguez referred to the day when many devoted Cubans celebrate the saint San Lázaro. Every year, the pilgrimage made in Havana for San Lázaro exceeds 15,000 believers.

"Miraculous San Lázaro/ give us peace, luck and tranquility/ distribute health to everyone/ noble and beautiful old man/ take from me what is loving/ my prayer, all my faith/ with passion I will sing/ and bless the purple/ May it reach El Rincón sagrado/ my love/ Babalú aye," closes Alfredito's invitation to his concert.

The extensive and multifaceted artistic career of Alfredito Rodríguez gained greater significance starting in 1968 on Cuban television, where he took charge of hosting the popular program "Buenas Tardes."

From there he won the affection of Cubans and went on to perform his own songs, which quickly became hits, such as "Empapado de sudor" and "Que me encapricho." His repertoire is varied, although he fundamentally cultivates romantic songs.

Later he resumed his great communication skills and returned to the small screen with programs such as "Su noche con Alfredo" and "En familia con Alfredo," which surpassed all historical television ratings records in the country.
