Alexis Valdés Premieres His New Comedy in Miami

Cuban comedian and director Alexis Valdés premiered his new comedy "Lo de atrás no importa" in Miami.

According to him, the grand launch of his tenth comedy took place Saturday night at the Trail Theater.

"It has been 10 years of work and 10 works that I have written and directed. A learning experience for everyone, the opportunity to work with actors I admire," he revealed on his social networks.

Likewise, the renowned Cuban actor commented that this time has served him to "make good friends. And to grow artistically and humanely."

In this new comedy, actors Yubrán Luna, Dianelys Brito, Ivan Camejo, and Alejandro Dávalos work, while Carlos Cruz has been in charge of direction.

Similarly, Valdés announced that, going forward, other actors could join the presentation of the comedy in "The City of the Sun."

"I love discovering how a new actor plays the same character. And I also love giving the opportunity to many talented actors who wish to play a good role in a work that the audience enjoys," he noted.

"We will continue on this path to continue contributing to the Miami audience and wherever we present, and contributing to the theatrical community and Miami actors, the possibility of having a space to do what they love most, act. Hopefully you enjoy it very much, laugh a lot, and we all get rid of a little of the stress of life which is even harder than theater," he emphasized.

Valdés said that "Lo de atrás no importa" is "a comedy about friendship, couples, aspirations, dreams, frustrations, art, and passion for something."

Valdés has become a chronicler of his time. His works reflect not only the reality of Cubans, but also their nature.

Last January, Valdés composed a fun song dedicated to the sponsor, the person who allows Cubans and people from other countries to reach the United States thanks to humanitarian parole.
