The surprise was big for fans of dance music. Puerto Rican salsa singer Gilberto Santa Rosa and Cuban musician Alain Pérez recently got together in Miami and left a very special message for all their followers on social media.

Through their Instagram accounts, both artists shared details of the meeting and announced news for dancers.

The Cuban musician posted on his profile a recording with the Knight of Salsa, where the performer of the popular songs Que alguien me diga and Sombra loca praises him and expresses how much he wanted to meet him.

"This is a meeting that is very important to me personally, very emotional for me. It is the first time I have had the pleasure of finally shaking the hand of this man who has my admiration, my respect and my affection through music," the Puerto Rican musician says in the video, recorded in what appears to be a bar.

The Puerto Rican salsa singer added while shaking Pérez's hand: "that's what happens from here on," leaving the door open for future collaborations.

Along with the video, Alain Pérez wrote: "I cannot sleep tonight without first sharing with all of you this moment so happy and emotional that life has given me, thank you maestro for the truth you carry with you, thank you for elevating and igniting my hope. Gilberto Caballero, man and friend, master of inspiration. Walk it!!". The post quickly accumulated more than 25 thousand reactions and hundreds of other messages.

For his part, on his Instagram profile, Gilberto Santa Rosa also posted a photo of both of them in the same place, with a touching message: "I finally meet this genius! Another brother that music gave me. An honor maestro Alain Pérez".

To Santa Rosa's post, the singer of the catchy song Shorcito replied: "Brother, maestro and friend from today and forever! This day marks a before and after for my life. Thank you Gilberto I tell you from the heart, thank you for being genuine for being the inspiring gentleman for everyone. Walk it pops! It's set, this starts now".

It is not the first time that the musician born in Puerto Rico has expressed the respect and admiration he feels for Cuba and its musicians, since on several occasions he has worked with them.

The singer was in Havana in 2018, with a concert at La Piragua, and before that, he performed in Varadero, participating as a guest at the Josone Jazz & Son Festival, in the month of July of that year. He also has collaborations with Isaac Delgado, Willy Chirino, Leoni Torres and Gente de Zona, among others.
