Actress Nancy González temporarily steps away from TV, will undergo surgical intervention

The renowned and beautiful actress Nancy González told the Cubactores page this week that she will temporarily step away from acting and her program on Cuban TV "Ruta 10," because a tumor was found that was causing her locomotion problems and will need to be removed in the coming days.

González, who has two daughters with Cuban actor and ex-partner Armando Tomey, explained that despite suffering pain and difficulty moving, she continued working on the telenovela "Viceversa," where she plays one of the main characters.

She detailed that at first, she believed it was due to cervical problems and she underwent treatment and physical therapy sessions, but did not improve. After several medical tests, she was diagnosed with a supposedly benign tumor near the second cervical vertebra that was affecting her nerves and motor responses.

Nancy did not give up and with the support of her doctors and her colleagues from the production team has made progress in the filming of this telenovela. According to Cubaactores, Nancy González will undergo surgery soon and after it she hopes to return to TV, at least hosting the program "Ruta 10."
