The popular Cuban actress María Isabel Díaz Lago thanked on her social networks the numerous donations of medicines that have been collected in Spain, where she has lived for many years, which will be sent to Cuba, a country facing a serious health crisis, worsened by coronavirus.
"Thank you for the generosity and solidarity with the Cuban people. Thank you for the contribution of so many colleagues and the tireless work of Humanitarian Aid to Cuba on behalf of the Cuban people," she said.
The remembered 'Ofelia' from the film 'Una novia para David' shared several videos showing all the medicines and other personal hygiene products such as diapers and sanitary pads, which have been donated by numerous people, moved by the crisis in the Caribbean nation.
"We have bought all this with all the help you have given us, this is with monetary assistance," she explained.
Díaz Lago clarified that the contributions are being collected in Madrid, on Beneficencia Street 18, in front of the Barceló market.
The actress called days earlier on Cubans and anyone willing to collaborate to join efforts for Cubans in need of medicines.
"We are in the midst of a brutal crisis, never before experienced in Cuba. Hospitals are overwhelmed, people don't even have aspirin," she said then.
