Cuban actress Livia Brito stars in new Televisa-Univisión telenovela

Cuban actress Livia Brito will star in the new telenovela of the recently unified Televisa-Univisión conglomerate. The actress and model who is also an influencer, who enjoys a certain prestige in the television industry, will be the protagonist of "Mujer de nadie".

For now, the title of the drama may be provisional, but what is certain is that Brito will be the star who will play Lucía Arizmendi, a humble woman, naive, with great romantic illusions, who works in the manufacture of talavera (a type of ceramic).

Also the daughter of Cuban actor Rolando Brito, she will work on this project alongside Brazilian actor Marcus Ornellas ("Libre para amarte" and "Amor sin reserva"). The plot of the drama unfolds when Lucía, unintentionally, and due to her beauty, becomes a source of envy among other women and an object of desire for some men.

Nevertheless, the character played by the actress only has eyes for Fernando Ortega (played by Ornellas), who is an administrator at a logistics company and is described as honest, loyal, and very seductive.

The telenovela is expected to premiere later this year in 2022. In that sense, filming already began on March 8th. From her Instagram profile, Livia Brito announced the start of filming. "I feel very excited and grateful to be able to bring Lucía to life," said the actress, who acknowledged the support of Giselle González, executive producer of the novel, someone who has also been in charge of other works such as "Imperio de mentiras" and "Caer en la tentación".

"Mujer de nadie" is a remake of "Amarte es mi pecado", a telenovela broadcast in 2004. For this remake, Mexican actors such as Cynthia Klitbo, Plutarco Haza, and María Penella accompany Brito. All co-directed by Juan Pablo Blanco, who has directed projects such as "El color de la pasión" and "Cuna de lobos", and Fabián Corres, an actor turned director, in works such as "Pobre diabla" and "Vivir a destiempo".

TelevisaUnivision emerged as a conglomerate in the commercial landscape on January 31st of this year, following the merger between both entities dedicated to entertainment and the production of television content.

For her part, Livia Brito had previously concluded the telenovela, La desalmada, where she played Fernanda Linares, the lead character.
