Cuban actress Camila Bordón is among the nominees for the Chip TV Awards 2023, an award of Colombian origin presented annually by Magazine Chip TV to honor the best in the world of entertainment from that country and internationally. The young woman has been recognized in the category of "Favorite Web Series Lead Actress" for her performance in the Colombian series Paraíso blanco.

Camila Bordón, daughter of popular actors Jacqueline Arenal and Mijail Mulkay, has captivated audiences with her leading debut in this series, based on the life of Colombian drug trafficker Carlos Lehder, premiered in July of last year on the Vix platform.

The news of her nomination was also shared by Camila herself through her Instagram account, where she shared the post from Magazine Chip TV, detailing that each like on said post counts as a vote in her favor, encouraging her followers to actively participate in this selection process by voting for her through the post or the link available on the official account of the awards on this social network.

Bordón competes in this category with Camila Córdoba (Zona prohibida), Carolina Miranda (Perfil falso), Francisca Estévez (La primera vez) and Laura Londoño (Manes).

In Paraíso blanco, Camila worked alongside Mijail Mulkay; although it is not the first time that father and daughter have shared the screen. Both previously appeared together in the theatrical works El Crédito and Ay love Miami, premiered at Teatro 8 in the City of the Sun.

Last July, Camila Bordón expressed her enthusiasm for working on this production, highlighting her father's presence. It is "a beautiful project that gave me beautiful moments and wonderful people. And that, furthermore, allowed me to share the screen once more with my @soymijailmulkay who is always a warm embrace for the soul. You can't miss it!", she said on that occasion, when she also shared images from the set.

What is "Paraíso blanco" about?
Paraíso blanco is a Colombian web television series of criminal drama, produced by Dago García for Caracol Televisión. It is inspired by the life of the influential Colombian drug trafficker Carlos Lehder, taking as reference the book Crazy Charlie written by Ron Chepesiuk.

The main cast of the series also includes talented actors such as Sebastián Osorio, Michal Malinowski and Laura Rodríguez. The premiere of Paraíso blanco took place on July 20, 2023 through the Vix platform.

The plot of the series centers on Lehder's impactful decision, who radically transformed the drug trafficking landscape by acquiring an island 340 km off the coast of Florida during the 1970s. This innovative drug trafficker, a pioneer in his time, became the first renowned Colombian to be extradited and tried in the United States in 1987. He served a 33-year prison sentence.
