Cuban actress Amarilys Núñez undertakes new film project

Actress Amarilys Núñez, highly respected and beloved among Cubans for her work in film, theater, and television, is preparing her next film project, as she announced on her social media profiles.

On Instagram, the artist informed her followers that filming for "Erma in little Haití" was already underway, and although she did not provide many details, she accompanied the post with several photographs where she can be seen performing in different moments of the plot.

Regarding what this new opportunity to work in the industry means to her, she commented "The infinite pleasure of doing what you love," and it is that Amarilys has not stopped surprising her followers and the general public in recent months, with several productions in which she has participated.

The website CubaActores revealed other details about Amarilys Núñez's new film project. According to what that space dedicated to the world of acting inside and outside the island recently published, it obtained exclusive statements from the artist about the short film being filmed.

In Amarilys's words, the short "unfolds a plot on three levels that offer viewers a meaningful experience," the aforementioned site reported.

According to Núñez's explanation, in the first of those levels the viewer is immersed in a deep emotional perspective as the character she plays faces the immense pain of losing her son. It is then when the film explores the path the artist must face to heal.

Then, the second level of the narrative focuses on "the relationship between two seemingly opposite individuals." Both characters discover that the unusual alliance, despite their divided histories and perspectives, leads them to an unexpected friendship that will end up transforming their lives.

"The third level of the story focuses on society as a whole." According to the actress's explanation, the film explores how the community comes together to help a "foreign" person achieve her objective.

The cast of the short film includes American-Haitian actors and a 15-year-old young man who will be her main companion throughout the plot.

This has been an intensive working year for actress Amarilys Núñez. In addition to the production in which she now participates, she brought to life another fiction short film alongside the also famous actor Alberto Pujols and alongside Erdwin Fernández she filmed another audiovisual project in series format.
