The prestigious Forbes magazine published its traditional list of the most influential people of the year, in which each of those selected "has played some key role in Spanish politics, economy or society" or even "sometimes in all of them at once", and it is Cuban actress Ana de Armas who heads that ranking.

Furthermore, the magazine recognizes that 2021 "has been the year of the implementation —definitive? — of the new normal, of living between hope and exhaustion, of debating ourselves between the old world we come from and fear of the uncertainty of the future".

In the 2021 list, Ana de Armas is in first place, having established herself this year as a Hollywood star, after appearing as 'Bond Girl' in the film "No Time to Die", the latest installment of the 007 agent saga, James Bond.

The Cuban actress is remembered in Spain for her role as Carolina in the Antena 3 series El Internado.

Ana de Armas's upcoming work on the big screen will be: on one hand, Blonde, a biographical drama that will adapt Joyce Carol Oates' novel about Marilyn Monroe; and on the other, Deep Water, a psychological thriller film.

Another person of the year is Princess Leonor de Borbón Ortiz, who appears for the first time on the Forbes list as one of the most influential people of the year.
