Cuban adult film actor dies in Spain

The authorities in Spain are investigating the death of Dairo Jovelar Ruiz, a 33-year-old Cuban adult film actor, model, and bodybuilder, who was found lifeless last Thursday, August 27, in Barcelona.

Allegedly, it is a biological death, according to sources from the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalonia's regional police), who stated that they had ruled out that it was a violent death.

Jovelar was found dead on Thursday of last week in a room on Villarroel Street. One of the deceased's friends, who preferred not to reveal his identity, commented that the case is pending judicial decision and that there were two deceased. Which contrasts with the official version of events.

For their part, the Mossos d'Esquadra reported that there is no evidence that the previous statement is true, since if there had been another person dead alongside Jovelar, they would be aware of it.

According to statements made by the Cuban actor's relatives, his lifeless body was found lying in a bed, but it had marks of blows on the back, which is why they suspect it could have been a violent episode and not a biological death as has been officially declared.

Dairo Jovelar was from the municipality of San Miguel del Padrón, in Havana, although he had been living in Spain for around 10 years.

In Cuba, Dairo Jovelar Ruiz was a teacher, and those who knew him highlight that he spoke several languages and took great care of his family, especially his mother, with whom he loses his second son (of four) since a daughter passed away a few years ago.

"He loved to dance and he liked Alejandro Sanz and Alexandre Pires. He was a good friend, brother, and companion. There was nothing bad about him," adds a person who prefers not to identify himself.

Dairo Jovelar Ruiz carefully maintained his body and liked to show his Facebook followers his workout routines. As an actor, he filmed several films in the world of gay adult cinema, under the stage name Ridder Rivera.
